Every week gets bigger...
Hey, Jags fans. I know it's said all of the time, but in the NFL, especially the AFC South, every week gets bigger and bigger. And this week is nooooooooo different. The Colts, people. We all know what's at stake---a whole lot. We had a very good week of practice, and everyone is dialed in and ready to go. I'm amped, man. Colts safety Antoine Bethea and cornerback/return specialist T.J. Rushing are good friends. I'm sure they'll be a 'lil talking going on. Okay... a lot of talking. It will be a physical game. Colts vs. Jags games are always physical. Get ready, Jags Nation. It's going to be big. I'll talk to y'all afterwards.
Go Jags!

Needless to say, we gotta tough one this week with the Bills. This will be your classic black and blue game. Be ready for a very physical battle, folks. Enjoy the time with your families and friends, and I'll see (and hear) you all this Sunday.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving.

...a Hall of Fame lock!!
What's up Jags Nation! Woo-wee that was a big win, folks. The victory over the Titans couldn't have been any sweeter. It was a win against a division rival, we did it in traditional Jaguars fashion--by running the ball, and most importantly, my man, Freddy T, reached a milestone that most great NFL running backs have never or will never reach--gaining more than 10,000 rushing yards during a career. 10,000 yards, people!!!!!! That's absolutely phenomenal!!! Sometimes the great ones, like Fred, make what they do look easy. And, when it's done as long and as effectively as Fred's done it, many expect it to be a weekly automatic. But, let me tell you, being an effective and consistent running back in this league is far from an "automatic. " The running back position is the most violent position on the field. News flash: having 300+lb dudes fall on you, or LBs (DBs, not so much, ha!ha!ha!) collide into you for 16 + weeks, isn't the best feeling in the world. So, to be a feared, NFL running back for 10 years and to join a very elite class of backs who have rushed for 10,000 yards, is huge!! HUGE!! Needless to say, having done that, and yet, never once making it to Hawaii is just ridiculous. I wonder how many running backs have been selected to the Pro Bowl during Fred's career who don't come close to acheiving what he's acheived. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd guess most have not. That's fine tho, cuz most of those Pro Bowl backs won't end up in Canton either. But, Fred certainly will. That's a no-brainer. So, Fred, congrats, my man. You deserve all the blessings that you've received.

On the road again!
One down and two to go. What's up, Jags fans? As you know, we're headed over to the N.O. for our second of three critical road games. The Tampa game really demonstrated the character of this team. We were banged up, and without our leader. However, we fought and scratched from start to finish, and got the "W." Mad kudos have to go out to our O-line. They blocked their butts off. To pound the ball the way we did was just awesome. Of course the RBs on the team believe we should run 40 times every week (smile)!! But, everyone knows that offensive balance is critical to success in this league. So, to run the ball the way we did with little to no passing plays, makes what we did that more impressive. So, again, big kudos to those big guys up front. I for sure thank them personally every day.
Now, on to the Saints. It doesn't get any easier folks. They're at home and on a three-game winning streak. They have tons of talent on both sides of the ball. It'll be a battle for sure. And that's what we intend to bring...a battle. So, button your chin straps Jags fans. It's gonna be a bumpy ride this week.
As always, thanks for checking in with me. I'll be talking to you soon.
Go Jags!

We must and will bounce back!
Needless to say, the Colts loss was very disappointing. The loss of David for the time being is disappointing, as well. But, that's the game of football, and we still have a lot of football left to play. So what now? Quinn will step up and the team will continue to prepare to get better. Despite the disappointment, we're 4-2 and remain in control of our destiny. Game-by-game is still the approach. And next on the schedule is a Tampa team that's undefeated at home, and is coming off of a tough loss. As I always say, every week in the NFL is a fight. And this week will be no different.
Before I go, I want to personally thank you, Jags nation. The atmosphere at the game was AWESOME!! You guys were absolutely crazed!! And the whole stadium was rockin'. You definitely provided us an advantage. Of course, everyone wishes we could've delivered you a win. We'll work to fix that...trust me!!
As always, thanks for checkin in with me. I'll get back to you all soon.
Go JAGS!
-Maurice
