General Information:
Jaguars players are available for a limited number of appearances depending on the time of year requests are made. All requests must be submitted in writing using the Appearance Request Form. Please furnish as much detailed information as possible. *Requests should be received by the Community Relations Department six weeks prior to your scheduled event to allow maximum time for consideration.
The majority of player appearances are community service, school or hospital visits. During the NFL season (September December) players are only available on Tuesdays, their one day off per week. Players typically are not available during the teams bye (off) weekend each fall.
Tuesday appearances are usually not scheduled until after 10 a.m. Early afternoon (10 a.m. 2 p.m.) or early evening (5 7 p.m.) appearances within a 30-minute drive from the stadium are desired. One-hour appearances are preferred. Paid promotional appearances can vary in length with most scheduled for two hours. Players generally wear casual clothing (golf shirt/jean/shorts) with player appearance (optional). As a general rule, the Jaguars do not make return visits to organizations within a 12-month period. Also, an approved appearance in one year does not insure annual participation by the Jaguars.
Appearance Criteria:
We hope to assist programs in the community that uses the player appearances as an incentive/enhancement of the program. Therefore, we adhere to the following criteria:
- Direct interaction with kids
- No career days (not realistic for players; we would recommend a member of the Jaguars staff)
- Clear role for the player in the event (read books, hand out awards)
- No athletic function with risk of injury (i.e. basketball games, etc.)
- Maximize player time large number of kids influenced by visit
- Publicity opportunities
Appearance Fees:
Paid business/promotional appearance fees are not set by the Jaguars. Individual players and their agents establish these rates. Rates vary depending upon the player requested. The majority of player appearances are community service, school or charity related. Many civic organizations do offer honorariums to players or offer to make donations to the charity of the athletes choice. This also helps to secure a player in advance of your scheduled event. Players must be paid at the conclusion of the event. Many events are charity-related and as such are non-paid activities.
Availability:
During the immediate off-season (January February) player are generally not available due to their vacation schedules or non-residence in the local area. Once they report back in late March for voluntary conditioning workouts, players are available to consider appearances on a limited basis until mid-June. Once training camp begins in mid-July, players are not available until the start of the regular season in September.
*Generally speaking, player availability is best between mid-March and mid-June although there are several black-out weeks for mandatory mini-camp and pre-training camp practice sessions.
Promoting Player Appearances:
Use of the Jaguars name, logos and trademarks and/or any advertising that implies the support or sponsorship of an event by the Jaguars, Jaguars Foundation or the NFL must be approved in writing by Jacksonville Jaguars, Ltd. Before promoting a Jaguars player appearance, please check with the teams Community Relations Department for acceptable practices. Use of the Jaguars logos is generally not allowed. This police pertains to all forms of advertising, including all print (newspaper, newsletters, posters, flyers, brochures, raffle tickets, etc.) television and radio promotion. Regarding promotional items, Jaguars players usually arrive with team pictures; individual player photos or Jaguars autograph cards to sign during the event.
Requests for Coaches & Front Office Staff:
All appearance and speaking requests for Jaguars coaches, executive/senior staff, and Jaguars broadcasting personalities must be made in writing using the Appearance Request Form. Jaguars personalities are available for a limited number of appearances depending upon the time of year requests are made. Appearances by personnel in this group generally last from an hour to an hour and a half in length. Schedules vary greatly but are very similar to those of our players. When player are busy, so too are many others in the organization who play support roles on and off the field.
*Jaguars staff members cannot accept a fee for their participation in your event. However, if it is customary for your organization to compensate speakers, you may make a donation on behalf of the individual to the Jaguars Foundation.

Upon receipt of your completed Appearance Request Form, you can expect to hear back from us within 10 business days for non-player appearance requests. You will often be notified earlier by phone. Player appearances are generally confirmed one to two weeks prior to the event date. Paid appearance requests are generally confirmed sooner.
Helpful Player Appearance Request Hints
Off-Season
- January February Players are generally not available for appearances due to vacation schedules and out of state residencies.
- March June Players typically report for off-season workouts and are available on a limited basis in the afternoons.
- July August No appearances will be scheduled during Training Camp.
In-Season
- September December During the NFL season players are available on a very limited basis. Tuesdays are the players only day off from practice. Player availability generally falls on late morning to early afternoon and early evenings. Due to rush hour traffic patterns, appearances are typically scheduled for Tuesday afternoon between 11 a.m. 3 p.m.
- It is highly recommended that your event NOT center around an appearance by a player or staff member, but rath er than an appearance should be approached as a complimentary element to your event.
- Player appearances typically last one hour in length.
