Through a fair and objective evaluation process, The Jaguars Foundation allocated grants to serve the needs of economically and socially disadvantage youth throughout Northeast Florida. In 2012, the Foundation awarded $1 million to 35 local nonprofit agencies. Since its first grants were awarded in 1995, the Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $15 million to worthy programs in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns counties to assist disadvantaged youth and their families. This level of giving is among the top few in professional sports.
Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant from the Jaguars Foundation. The Foundation uses an on-line application system.
For grants beginning July 1, 2013, the application deadline is February 15, 2013. For grants beginning January 1, 2014, the application deadline is July 12, 2013.
Note: If you are applying for a grant, you must submit an initial Letter of Inquiry on-line well before the deadline, (no later than 30 days before the deadline).
Please note that the Jaguars Foundation only funds 501(c) 3 nonprofits that serve economically and socially disadvantage youth with programs in the five county area (Duval, Clay, St. John’s, Baker and Nassau). We do not generally provide grants directly to schools; grants for religious purposes or that have a religious requirement; grants to ‘single disease’ organizations; grants for events or one-time activities; grants for clubs or teams to go to tournaments; or grants to individuals. There will be an on-line eligibility quiz before you are able to complete the Letter of Inquiry.
After receiving your completed Letter of Inquiry, the Jaguars Foundation will review your initial proposal and make a determination as to whether you may proceed to complete a full proposal. We will inform you of our decision, generally within 30 days.If you are asked to proceed, you will go back on-line using the same account name and password and you will see the link for the full proposal for you to complete.
