At the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, we believe in dreams. Not idle daydreams, and not the dreams of our sleep, but dreams worthy of the energy, commitment and hard work it takes to make them a reality. Jacksonville's becoming an NFL city is that dream. Young men earning a place on the Jaguars team is that dream. The Foundation is that dream. Being winners on and off the field is that dream.
All too often, the economically and socially disadvantaged children we seek to serve have no reason to dream, because there is no hope for tomorrow.
We look at our grant proposals for a long-term effect rather than a "band-aid" approach. The programs we support strive to encourage our children to dream and to instill hope for a better tomorrow, to set goals and to make the commitment necessary to fulfill their dreams and achieve their goals.
Our dream of the Jaguars Foundation began even before Jacksonville was awarded the thirtieth NFL franchise on November 30, 1993. And it became a reality on September 14, 1994.
While we are confident that we have made great strides in a short time, we are ever mindful that our work has just begun and that we must constantly look for the next opportunity. All kids are deserving of dreams, and our work will continue as we assist them in setting goals and believing in their dreams for tomorrow.
Our Mission
Believing that youth represent the community's future, the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation is committed to serving the greater Jacksonville area through strategic financial, networking, and volunteer support benefitting economically and socially disadvantaged youth and families. By building upon our city's strengths, we seek to realize the positive potential of our young people in need. In doing so, we aim to serve as a model to other sports franchises.
