Posted Mar 15, 2012

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed unrestricted free agent defensive tackle C.J. Mosley to a contract, the club announced today.  Length and terms of the contract are undisclosed.

Mosley has played in 23 games with three starts for the Jaguars the last two seasons.  The eighth-year pro has also spent time with Minnesota, the New York Jets and Cleveland.  He has played in 83 career games and totaled nine sacks, five forced fumbles and 141 tackles.  He was originally a sixth-round draft pick of the Vikings in 2005 and was traded to the Jets in 2006.  He joined the Jaguars on Oct. 5, 2010 and appeared in eight games for the club in his first season.

Mosley produced a career-high 50 tackles and two forced fumbles for the Jaguars in 2011 along with one sack.  He started three games at defensive tackle when Terrance Knighton was sidelined with an injury, and saw action in 15 games.  In the three starts, he totaled 18 tackles and three tackles for loss.
