Lewis and Gabbert connect on 62-yard pass and catch
Tight end Marcedes Lewis had a career-long 62-yard reception in the second quarter from Blaine Gabbert. Lewis’ previous long was a 47-yard catch on Dec. 6, 2009. The 62-yard pass from Gabbert was the second-longest of his career as he had a 74-yard touchdown pass to Jason Hill in week five. Lewis finished with a career-high 77 receiving yards on two receptions (38.5 avg.). He has 22 career receptions of 25-plus yards, tied with Ernest Wilford for the third-most in team history.

Smith forces fumble which leads to score
Linebacker Daryl Smith sacked Josh Freeman and forced a fumble late in the first half and defensive tackle Nate Collins recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown. It was Smith’s ninth career forced fumble, the second-most in team history (Tony Brackens, 28). He tied Rob Meier for ninth in team history with 21.5 sacks with 3.5 in the first 13 games this season.
Collins becomes only second defensive lineman with a touchdown
Second-year defensive tackle Nate Collins recovered a Josh Freeman fumble in the end zone in the second quarter for his career touchdown. Collins became only the second defensive lineman in team history to score a touchdown during the regular season, joining Tony Brackens who had a 16-yard interception return for a score at Baltimore on November 28, 1999.
