NFL Power Rankings: Broncos where they belong

Posted Oct 8, 2013

Jaguars.com Senior Writer John Oehser ranks the 32 NFL teams before Week 6.

JACKSONVILLE – Here are the jaguars.com pre-Week 6 2013 power rankings. And we all know how important these are:

1. Denver Broncos (5-0) | 1 | As if scoring 50 all the time is *that* big of a deal . . .

2. New Orleans Saints (5-0) | 4 | Have to give them a lot of credit. They look strong again

3. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) | 5 | So, they really are good, then?

4. Indianapolis Colts (4-1) | 6| Suddenly and surprisingly, the pretty clear division favorites

5. Seattle Seahawks (4-1) | 2 | Hadn’t lost in the regular season since November

6. New England Patriots (4-1) | 3 | They’re not invincible, but Sunday is a blip, not trend

7. San Francisco 49ers (3-2) | 11 | Coming back around

8. Green Bay Packers (2-2) | 8 | Back into the Top 10

9. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) | 19 |Giant, giant victory over Patriots

10. Baltimore Ravens (3-2) | 16 | There’s no slide in Baltimore this season

11. Miami Dolphins (3-2) | 7 | Still get the idea season could go either way

12. Detroit Lions (3-2) | 8 | Hovering around Top 10, but don’t have elite feel

13. Chicago Bears (3-2) | 9 | Lost some of that early shine

14. Dallas Cowboys (2-3) | 17 | Scored 48 points Sunday . . . and lost

15. Houston Texans (2-3) | 10 | The Colts are starting to look far, far away

16. Cleveland Browns (3-2) | 20 | May not be here for long, but they’re here now

17. New York Jets (3-2) | 21 | As big a surprise as there in the league

18. Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) | 18 | The first-place Philadelphia Eagles . . .

19. Tennessee Titans (3-2) | 12 | Back to earth

20. Atlanta Falcons (1-4) | 18 | Offensive line woes have meant dramatic fall

21. Arizona Cardinals (3-2) | 22 | Sneakily over .500

22. San Diego Chargers (2-3) | 13 | Who? What? Huh?

23. Buffalo Bills (2-3) | 15 | Loss of Manuel could ruin a potentially good season

24. St. Louis Rams (2-3) | 24 | Not great, but good enough to beat Jaguars Sunday

25. Oakland Raiders (2-3) | 25 | Better than expected, but how good?

26. Carolina Panthers (1-3) | 23 | Things starting to feel shaky in Charlotte

27. Washington Redskins (1-3) | 27 | A lot to get fixed over the bye

28. Minnesota Vikings (1-3) | 29 | Ponder’s time may be running out

29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4) | 30 | Close to .500, but maybe not close enough for Schiano

30. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4) | 31 | Needed the bye week in a big way

31. New York Giants (0-5) | 28 | Getting close to rock bottom

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) | 32 | Underdogs this week. Real big underdogs
