Posted Nov 5, 2013

Jaguars.com Senior Writer John Oehser ranks the 32 NFL teams before Week 10.

JACKSONVILLE – Here are the jaguars.com pre-Week 10 2013 power rankings. And we all know how important these are:

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) | 1 | Good teams find different ways to win

2. Seattle Seahawks (8-1) | 2 | See “Kansas City Chiefs” comment

3. Indianapolis Colts (6-2) | 3 | See “Seattle Seahawks” comment

4. Denver Broncos (7-1) | 4 | Will have to negotiate key stretch month without HC John Fox

5. New England Patriots (7-2) | 8 | On verge of “unimpressing” their way to great season

6. San Francisco 49ers (6-2) | 6 | In good position entering second half of season

7. New Orleans Saints (6-2) | 5 | Loss to Jets one of biggest upsets of the season

8. Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) | 7 | Disappointing loss to Miami, but still in good position

9. Detroit Lions (5-3) | 10 | Quietly in good position entering the second half

10. Chicago Bears (5-3) | 12 | Whatever the circumstance, winning in Lambeau impressive

11. Green Bay Packers (5-3) | 9 | If Rodgers is out for a while . . . well, no one wants that

12. Dallas Cowboys (5-4) | 11 | If they could win back-to-back games, they’d be dangerous

13. Carolina Panthers (5-3) | 14 |Suddenly looking like contenders

14. New York Jets (5-4) | 17 | Up-and-downing their way into the playoff chase

15. Miami Dolphins (4-4) | 16 | Saved their season with a late safety last week

16. San Diego Chargers (4-4) | 13 | Too inconsistent to threaten KC, Denver

17. Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) | 19 | Can Foles do it against league’s better teams?

18. Arizona Cardinals (4-4) | 18 | Staying put after midseason bye

19. Baltimore Ravens (3-4) | 15 | Offseason losses just too much to overcome

20. Tennessee Titans (4-4) | 21 | Still alive in division at midway point

21. Cleveland Browns (4-5) | 24| Still alive – and that makes them big success story

22. Washington Redskins (3-5) | 26 | They’ve shown signs this season – just not enough

23. Buffalo Bills (3-6) | 20 | Running game can’t overcome quarterback situation

24. St. Louis Rams (3-6) | 22 | Bradford injury could mean long second half

25. Atlanta Falcons (2-6) | 23 | One of those seasons where nothing goes right

26. Oakland Raiders (3-5) | 25 | The defense struggled a bit Sunday

27. Houston Texans (2-6) | 27 | Won’t stay at No. 27, but can’t recover from this start

28. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6) | 28 | Steelers rarely have down seasons; this is a rare season

29. New York Giants (2-6) | 29 | A weak NFC East means they’re still alive -- barely
