All of the Jaguars stats notes following the team's matchup vs the Rams.

Welcome back Justin!

Second-year wide receiver Justin Blackmon made his 2013 debut on Sunday and finished with five catches for 136 yards (27.2 avg.) and one touchdown.  The 136 yards marked his second career 100-yard receiving game and second-most yards of his career (236 yards, Nov. 18, 2012 at Houston).  His 27.2 yards per catch marked the fifth-highest in franchise history.

Blackmon took his first reception from Blaine Gabbert 67 yards for a touchdown.  It marked the second-longest reception of Blackmon’s career (81 yards, Nov. 18, 2012 at Houston).   In addition to his touchdown, he had receptions of 39 and 14 yards.  He has eight receptions of 25-plus yards in the last five road games.

TD streak for Blackmon

Justin Blackmon scored his first touchdown of the season today, the sixth of his career, with a 67-yard scoring catch on his first touch of the game.  He has a score in three consecutive games dating back to the 2012 season.  He concluded his rookie season with touchdowns against New England at Tennessee.

Sen’Derrick Marks records first sack of the season

Defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks had a sack/forced fumble of Rams quarterback Sam Bradford in the first quarter.  One play later, Marks tipped a Bradford pass to force a punt.   Marks has four career sacks and four forced fumbles.

Career-high 12 tackles for Cyprien

2013 second-round pick Johnathan Cyprien registered a game-high 12 tackles, all solo.  Cyprien has 35 tackles, two forced fumbles and one sack through five games.

Scobee extends streak for made field goals

Josh Scobee remained perfect through five games as he was successful on field goals of 48 and 34 yards.  Scobee, who is 5 of 5 in 2013, has hit on 25 straight field goals in October dating back to 2009.  He has not missed a field goal on the road since 2001, a span of 14 games and 23 straight made field goals.

Scobee moves into third place in most games played

Kicker Josh Scobee played in his 141st career game today, the third-most in Jaguars history.  Only Brad Meester (197) and Jimmy Smith (171) have played in more games than Scobee.

Jones-Drew reaches milestone

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew surpassed 10,000 career yards from scrimmage, joining Fred Taylor (13,632) and Jimmy Smith (12,286) as the only players in franchise history to accomplish the feat.  Jones-Drew became only the 11th active player with 10,000-plus yards from scrimmage and only the fourth running back (Steven Jackson, Frank Gore, Adrian Peterson).

Jones-Drew had a season-high 70 yards on 17 carries (4.1) including a season-long run of 20 yards in the first quarter.  He had two receptions of 16 yards.  He has 203 yards in two career games against the Rams.

Safety Chris Prosinski blocked a Johnny Hekker punt in the third quarter.  It marked the Jaguars’ second blocked punt of the season as linebacker J.T. Thomas had a blocked punt in the season-opener against Kansas City.
