At least he is for this week.
Henne, who started at quarterback in place of injured
“We’re going with Chad this week,” Bradley said Monday, a day after the Jaguars’ 35-19 loss to the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo.
Henne, who also started Weeks Two and Three when Gabbert was out with a lacerated hand, completed 27 of 42 passes for 303 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions Sunday. Gabbert made the trip to Denver, but did not play because of a hamstring injury sustained against St. Louis the previous week.
In three starts this season Gabbert has completed 42 of 86 passes for 481 yards and one touchdown with seven interceptions. Henne has completed 80 of 117 passes for 904 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions.
Gabbert is likely to throw on the side in practice this week, Bradley said.
“It is an injury that may take a couple of weeks,” Bradley said.
Bradley did not commit to Henne starting beyond the San Diego game.
“We’re just talking about San Diego,” Bradley said. “We’ll see when Blaine comes back, but right now Chad’s our quarterback.”
