Defensive tackle Roy Miller and cornerback/safety Alan Ball, two players with extensive NFL starting experience, agreed to terms on Friday to sign unrestricted free agent contracts with the Jaguars.

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars have agreed to terms with two more defensive free agents.

Defensive tackle Roy Miller and cornerback/safety Alan Ball, two players with extensive NFL starting experience, agreed to terms on Friday to sign unrestricted free agent contracts with the Jaguars.

Miller (6-2, 310), 25, a third-round selection by Tampa Bay in the 2009 NFL Draft, started 34 games in four seasons for the Buccaneers, starting 16 games in 2010 and 14 this past season.

He has three sacks in four seasons.

Ball, who will enter his seventh NFL season, can play either cornerback or safety, and spent five seasons with Dallas after the Cowboys selected him in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He spent last season with the Houston Texans.

Ball (6-2, 197), 27, has started 22 of 71 games played, and has 108 tackles, three interceptions and 17 passes defensed with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also is considered a quality special teams player with 38 tackles in that area.

He played 11 games with one start as a cornerback last season, and started 16 games at safety for Dallas in 2010.

Miller and Ball became the third and fourth free agent acquisition by new Jaguars General Manager David Caldwell. The team signed linebacker Geno Hayes Wednesday and agreed to terms with running back Justin Forsett on Friday.
