The Jacksonville Jaguars signed second-year quarterback Nathan Enderle to a contract, the club announced today. The Jaguars’ roster stands at 90 players after defensive tackle Marcus Stroud was placed on reserve/retired.Enderle, 6-4, 240, was a fifth-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears in 2011. He spent the entire season on the Bears active roster but did not appear in a game.
A native of North Platte, Nebraska, Enderle was a four-year starter at Idaho. He concluded his career with 10,084 passing yards on 779 of 1,427 passing with 81 touchdowns and 61 interceptions. He recorded eight 300-yard passing games and 12 games with three or more touchdown passes. As a senior, he was 271 of 478 passing for 3,314 yards with 22 touchdowns. He attended North Platte High School in Nebraska where he lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track.
