Even though there was no football the past week, it was still an exciting one for the players, fans and media. Fans received their tickets for the Summer Mega Event and the 2014 season. Players spent time in the community and weighed in on news around the sports world. Additionally, with Jaguars Owner Shad Khan's birthday on July 18, the team's digital media department asked fans to tweet using #HappyBdayMrKhan.


The Summer Mega Event is this month and the preseason is only a few weeks away. Fans received their tickets this week and did not hesitate to show off their team pride in a variety of ways.

Around Duval

A driving force behind the group known as #JaguarsTwitter, it was only a matter of time before a @Duval_Doom tweet made The Social Snapshot. He posted this photo of a USA Jaguars t-shirt. American and Jaguars spirit is a great combo any time of year.

Season Ticket Members received their tickets to the Mega Event. The event includes a Carrie Underwood concert, Fulham vs D.C. United match and the unveiling of the world’s largest video boards. Instagram user @kgsologirl5000 uploaded this image with the caption: “So pumped for this!!!!! It's going to be so amazing!!! #seasonticketperks #jaguars #jags365 #jagsnation”

@southernplayer was stomping around Duval in his Air Force 1s.

Dave Matthews Band performed in Jacksonville on Tuesday night. The group’s trumpet player, Rashawn Ross, was wearing a Jaguars jersey. @jagdrummer tweeted this photo from the concert.

Teal Christmas

Fans received their season tickets in the mail on a day referred to as Teal Christmas in Duval.

Great name and great photo.

A big part of #JaguarsTwitter, @themcwale, not only tweeted about receiving his season tickets, but he also posted on Instagram. He said, "Today was a good day. #jaguars #duval #ilovejax"

There is no age requirement for being a Jaguars fan. @heydvillo posted this with the caption: "One of my favorite days of the year! #allthetickets #jaguars #dtwd."

Like the rest of the world, Jaguars players were captivated by the free agency decisions of several big name NBA players.

Will Blackmon tweeted that he felt LeBron returning to Cleveland would make things easier for the team's No. 1 overal pick Andrew Wiggins.

With trade rumors swirling about the Minnesota Timberwolves trading Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for Wiggins, Jeremy Harris was wondering if it would happen.

Players remained busy with 2014 Jaguars Training Camp on the horizon.

The Marcedes Lewis Foundation teamed up with the Long Beach Sailing Foundation and Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach on July 12 for the 4th Annual Marcedes Lewis Invitational Regatta.

Safety Josh Evans held a football camp in his hometown of Irvington, N.J.

Defensive end Andre Branch had a big week. He celebrated his birthday on Monday and showed off his style on the red carpet at the ESPYs two days later.
