Jaguars add four players to 53-man roster; place Jalen Parmele and William Middleton on injured reserve.

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed fifth-year cornerback Antwaun Molden and fourth-year wide receiver Quan Cosby . They also added first-year running back Jordan Todman off Minnesota’s practice squad and rookie wide receiver Toney Clemons off Pittsburgh’s practice squad.

Running back Jalen Parmele (groin) and cornerback William Middleton (concussion) were placed on injured reserve.  Wide receiver Micheal Spurlock and safety Chris Harris were released from the roster.  Rookie defensive end Ryan Davis was signed to the club’s practice squad.

Molden, 6-1, 199, has played in 48 games with two starts since entering the NFL as a third-round draft pick of Houston in 2008.  His career totals include 23 tackles, three passes defensed, two interceptions and 38 special teams tackles.  He spent three seasons (2008-10) with the Texans.  He played in all 16 games and three postseason games for New England in 2011 and was with the New York Giants for the 2012 preseason.

Cosby, 5-9, 195, has spent time with Cincinnati (2009-10), Denver (2011) and Indianapolis (2012).  He has six career receptions for 71 yards, 97 punt returns for 968 yards (10.0 avg.) and 33 kickoff returns for 740 yards (22.4 avg.) in 42 career games.  He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie with Cincinnati after a standout career at Texas.  He played in 10 games for Denver in 2011 and was with the Colts for the 2012 preseason.

Todman, 5-10, 198, was a sixth-round draft pick of San Diego in 2011 and spent time on the club’s active roster and practice squad as a rookie.  He was signed by Minnesota to the active roster for the final week of the 2011 regular season and was on the Vikings’ practice squad for the first 12 weeks of the 2012 season.  The former Connecticut standout was the Big East Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior where he rushed for 1,695 yards and 14 touchdowns.  He declared for the NFL draft following his junior season.

Clemons, 6-2, 210, was a seventh-round draft pick of Pittsburgh in 2012 and spent the first 12 weeks on the club’s practice squad.  He began his collegiate career at Michigan before transferring to Colorado following his sophomore season.  He finished his career with 86 receptions for 1,162 yards and 11 touchdowns.  His average touchdown length was 25.8 yards.
