Jaguars sign WR Jeremy Ebert to active roster; WR Stephen Williams place on injured reserve.

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed first-year wide receiver Jeremy Ebert to the club’s active roster and placed wide receiver Stephen Williams on injured reserve with an Achilles injury.

Ebert has been on the 53-man roster for the Jaguars for four games in 2013 and has two receptions for 10 yards.  He was a seventh-round draft pick of New England in 2012 and spent time on the Patriots’ practice squad as a rookie.  He played in 49 games with 32 starts at Northwestern where he finished with 173 career receptions for 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Ebert will wear jersey number 80.
