Jaguars sign running back Keith Toston, waive tight end Gijon Robinson

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed second-year running back Keith Toston and released tight end Gijon Robinson, the club announced today.

Toston, 6-0, 214, spent the 2010 season with the St. Louis Rams after earning a roster spot as an undrafted rookie that year.  He played in all 16 games and rushed for 54 yards on 19 carries and added two receptions for 29 yards.  He was with the Rams for the 2011 preseason before being waived on final cuts.

The Angleton, Texas native was a four-year letterman at Oklahoma State where he finished with 2,757 career rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.  He was a first-team All-Big 12 selection as a senior, ranking second in the conference with 1,218 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.  He attended Angleton High School where he was a finalist for the Old Spice National High School Player of the Year award as a senior.
