Jaguars sign tight end Brandon Barden to practice squad.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed first-year tight end Brandon Barden to the practice squad, the club announced today.

Barden, 6-4, 253, was originally signed as a rookie free agent by Tennessee in 2012 and played in two games as a rookie.  He spent the first five weeks of the 2013 season on the Titans’ practice squad before he was waived on Oct. 8.

The Lincolnton, Georgia native played in 48 games at Vanderbilt and totaled 107 receptions for 1,234 yards and nine touchdowns.  He had 16 receptions for 243 yards as a senior.  Barden played quarterback at Lincolnton High School and led the team to back-to-back Class A state titles in 2005-06.
