Jaguars sign WR Kerry Taylor and TE Danny Noble to 53-man roster.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed first-year wide receiver Kerry Taylor and second-year tight end Danny Noble to the 53-man roster, the club announced today.  Taylor was signed off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad while Noble spent the past four weeks on the Jaguars practice squad.

Third-year tight end D.J. Williams was waived from the roster and wide receiver Justin Blackmon was placed on the reserve/suspended list by the NFL.  Also, veteran safety Dwight Lowery was released from injured reserve.

Noble, 6-5, 248, was signed by the Jaguars on October 9 to the practice squad.  He was originally signed as a rookie free agent by Tampa Bay in 2012.  He played in the first four games as a rookie before being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Noble spent three weeks on the club’s practice squad in 2013 and was promoted to the active roster on Sept. 21 before being waived on Sept. 24.

Noble played collegiately at Toledo where he finished his career with 48 receptions for 555 yards and eight touchdowns.  He attended Elyria High School in Ohio and where he played both offense and defense.  He finished with 26 receptions for 506 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior along with 17 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Taylor, 6-0, 200, played in three games for Arizona in 2013 and had three receptions for 40 yards in week two against Detroit.   He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Green Bay in 2011 and has also spent time with New England, San Francisco and Minnesota.

A native of Chandler, Arizona, Taylor played in 46 games with 20 starts in four seasons at Arizona State.  He finished his career with 112 receptions for 1,433 yards and seven touchdowns.  As a senior, he led the team with a career-high 54 catches for 699 yards.  Taylor attended Hamilton High School in Arizona where he led his team to a 5-A state championship as a senior.  He is the son of former NFL defensive back Keith Taylor and the nephew of former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver John Taylor.

Taylor will wear jersey number 13.
