I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs: phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work; you don't know them." I once picked her cell phone up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her? Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson Heritage next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the whole street when she comes home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my Harley, that I noticed that the rocker boxes on my engine seem to be leaking a little oil. Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the dealer?
Vic: I know what you’re going through. I had the same thing happen to me. A car pulled up in my driveway late one night when I was supposed to be out of town. I was in the garage when I saw the lights come up the driveway. Then the door started to go up and I decided to hide behind my golf bag. That’s when it hit me. The loop at the bottom of the bag that holds the umbrella had broken and the umbrella was gone. It was a Titleist, too. I’m sick about it.

Now be honest, honey, and tell the good people how you are so cheap that you sent me to the “Monster Truck Show” just to get a can of oil so you didn't have to buy it, and while we’re at it, you better check your credit card bill. You told people a few years back that you gave your credit card number to the florist with three dates: Valentine’s, our anniversary and my birthday. My birthday was Tuesday and Valentine’s was two weeks ago and the flowers never made it to school or home. Oh, and don't try the trick of giving me used flowers they were about to throw out from a meeting at the stadium so you can pass it off as your idea.
Vic: I only did that once, and I’m gonna call that flower shop and see what the problem is. It’s all about commitment, sweetheart. You’re my guy.

I just bought a MacBook and I can't watch the videos on the website. What gives?
Vic: All right, all right, I went to the IT guys about the problem. Here’s a statement from them: “If someone mentions problems playing videos or radio shows on our website with their Mac computers, tell them we are working on the problem right now. I went home last night, got on my Mac and played the videos/radio shows perfectly on my windows media player. Then I uninstalled the player and reinstalled it again but now none of it is working. I now understand the problem that our readers are having and Steve (ed. note: he’s the big cheese in IT) will be working on the problem. I will also go on our message boards today to explain that we are having problems with Macs and tell them that we are working on it.”

If Quinn Gray was made to believe he would be given a shot to compete for the starting QB position (which is quite common with all the young players who have won jobs for the Jags in recent years), why isn't he getting his shot? Jagnation is restless for good reason. This is like a Greek tragedy and we know how it ends.
Vic: These aren’t tryouts for the high school senior play. This isn’t the first day of Little League practice. This is a professional football team. It is manned by large personnel departments with massive scouting budgets, and even larger coaching staffs manned by men who’ve spent their lives evaluating and developing football talent. These men are responsible for arranging that talent properly, and how that talent is arranged is going to determine how it is paid. All of this doesn’t exist to give “Little Johnny” a fair chance to be the starting quarterback. I used to cover a team that had this motto: “Leave your feelings at the door.” Jack Del Rio’s and James Harris’ only responsibility is to put the best players on the field and win. If they don’t win, they know how this will end.

I shut up all of last year and now I'm writing my second question in one week. If the Jaguars are happy with the QB situation, the RB situation, the LB situation, the WR situation, the OL situation, the DL situation and all we need is a safety, which according to you is an easy position to fill, why don't we take another 8-8 season and forget the draft and free agency?
Vic: Who proclaimed satisfaction with the quarterback situation? Who said the wide receivers are doing just fine? I distinctly remember the season ending with a strong dissatisfaction for the performance of the Jaguars’ passing game. If it doesn’t improve in 2007, the Jaguars are doomed to repeat history. I think you’re one of those guys who wants the team to spend a lot of money in free agency for no other reason than it makes you feel good. I can tell you this: The 2007 free-agent class is not deep and it lost a lot of players to the “franchise” tag and new contracts in the last few weeks. Instead of looking forward with rose-colored glasses, take a look back to last year with a jaundiced eye. How would you like to have signed: LeCharles Bentley, Kevin Shaffer, David Givens, Adam Archuletta, Brandon Lloyd, Lavar Arrington or Eric Moulds? Those guys all got big bucks and they were going to be difference-makers for their teams. A year later, they represent mistakes their teams want to forget. Free agency begins tomorrow. Proceed with caution because the moves you don’t make are often better than the moves you did make.

I love your site. You should win an award. I love the way you interact with fans. I'm from Indy and you really make us all feel more a part of the NFL experience. I'd like to know how many e-mails you go through on a daily basis. It has to be staggering. I'm thinking of moving to Jacksonville and if I do I'd get season tickets in a heart beat. I have season tickets here and there is nothing like being part of the live experience of an NFL game.
Vic: Thank you for your kind words.

Vic, haven't you figured it out by now that whatever you say, the Jaguars will do the complete opposite. When you say the Jaguars are going wide receiver, they go DB. When you say the Jaguars are going after someone in free agency, they don't even look at him, so just please shut up and watch what we do!
Vic: Thank you for your kind words.
David from Middleburg, FL
How many e-mails did you get today from people whining about you saying the Jaguars are unlikely to pursue a big-ticket free agent? When are these people going to learn the best teams are the ones that don't dish out monopoly money for other team's rejects?
Vic: The sea was angry, my friend. Oh, yeah, this was a bad day to be Vic. Even my wife took a shot at me. Jaguars fans want spending and they want it now.
Jason from Queens, NY
The Packers and Jaguars are considered the leading contenders for Randy Moss. Is this true?
Vic: No.
