Print Story

Since the start of our inaugural season in 1995, the Jaguars rank 9th among all NFL teams with a 117-102 regular season record (as of 11/24/08). The best teams during this time are:

New England 142- 77

Jacksonville 117-102

The Jaguars are the 6th-wnningest team in the AFC since our beginning, trailing only New England, Denver, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Tennessee.

  • Through the Honor Rows® incentive program, the Foundation awards approximately 4,000 seats annually, totaling more than 34,500 youth in the team’s 14 seasons, to deserving youth who set and achieve personal goals to earn their seat to a Jaguars home game.
  • 2009 will mark the Foundation’s 15th anniversary of its Straight Talk™ initiative to prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections among teens through a unique media partnership of all local network TV affiliates and the local independent station, along with newspaper, internet, billboard, radio stations and partner Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida.
  • The Foundation, in partnership with Diet Pepsi and the local public libraries distributes more than 20,000 Jaguars Official Playbooks® booklets to promote reading and the use of the libraries by children and families. This year’s edition featured the team’s owners, players, Head Coach and The ROAR cheerleaders highlighting books on physical activity and nutrition, as part of the NFL’s What Moves U initiative to reduce child obesity.
  • The Foundation and the team have partnered with Wolfson Children’s Hospital for the local implementation of the NFL’s What Moves U initiative to reduce child obesity. Locally, the partnership is supporting physical activity/healthy nutrition pilot projects in eight Duval County Public Middle Schools and five nonprofit agencies, investing more than $450,000 over three years in grants and programs.
  • Jaguars players make nearly 500 community appearances every year, most of which are for non-profit or charity events. Members of The Roar, Jaxson DeVille and staff make many additional appearances as well.
  • The Jaguars Taste of the NFL Dinner has netted $682,767 for the local food bank over the past six years.
