Biography

Johnson, 5-10, 212, has appeared in 64 career games with three starts and has totaled 75 tackles (46 solo), 2.0 sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble. Johnson has previously spent time with Seattle (2011-14, 2016), Washington (2015) and Kansas City (2016). Johnson was a part of Seattle’s Super Bowl XLVIII Championship team after being placed on the team’s reserve/injured list on Dec. 11, 2013. Johnson was originally signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent on July 26, 2011.
 

Johnson, 29, started 44 games at Boise State and led the team in tackles in each of his first three seasons. His efforts earned all-conference honors three consecutive years and he was named to the All-WAC first-team in 2010 after recording 82 total tackles (45 solo) and was named All-WAC second-team in 2008 and 2009. Johnson finished his career at Boise State ranked 12th on the school’s all-time tackles list with 318. He was a four-year letterman at Dominguez H.S. in Compton, Calif. and was named the San Gabriel Valley League defensive MVP as both a junior and senior, as well as being named to the Press Telegram Dream Team and earning first-team All-CIF honors.
