Greg Jones was hired as a scouting associate on June 7, 2016 after previously serving as a coaching intern under Head Coach Gus Bradley.
In his current role, Jones supports all of the college area scouts in the team's personnel department.
Jones, who played nine seasons for the Jaguars before completing his career with the Houston Texans, was originally a second-round selection (55th overall) by the Jaguars in the 2004 NFL Draft and played fullback, primarily blocking for running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. Jones appeared in 115 games with 67 starts during his nine-year career in Jacksonville, totaling 911 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 270 carries. Jones also added 437 career receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns on 68 catches during his tenure with the Jaguars.
Jones was a four-year standout at Florida State University before graduating with a major in sports management in the spring of 2004. Jones totaled 23 career rushing touchdowns and 2,535 career rushing yards, the sixth-most rushing yards in school history.
Jones and his wife, Dana, currently live in Jacksonville with their kids Greg (12), Caden (8), Carter (3) and Aston (1).
