2001 Boselli Foundation Events Kick Off

Jaguars offensive tackle Tony Boselli will conduct several events this weekend as part of The Boselli Foundation's efforts to serve children in northeast Florida. Boselli and many of his teammates will be on hand for the activities being held at ALLTEL Stadium and the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.

The highlight of the weekend occurs Saturday at approximately 8:30 p.m. when CBS Sports reporter Lesley Visser presents 10 full-tuition, four-year college scholarships to deserving students on behalf of The Boselli Foundation. Other weekend events are as follows:

Sat., May 19, 8:30-11:30 a.m. Youth Football Clinic at Ferrell Fields at ALLTEL Stadium (Invitation-only for 10-15-year-old children)

Sat., May 19, 11:30-2:00 p.m. Ladies Luncheon & Fashion Show at World Golf Village Renaissance Resort (Jaguars players, wives and their children, and professional models model clothing from Belk)

Sat., May 19, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Children's Golf Exhibition at World Golf Village(Invitation-only for kids ages eight and above)

Sat., May 19, 3:00-3:50 p.m. Special children's feature at IMAX Theater at World Golf Village(Invitation only)

Sat., May 19, 6:30 p.m. Celebrity Golf Classic Gala Dinner & Auction(World Golf Village Renaissance Resort)

Sun., May 20, 12:30 p.m. Celebrity Golf Classic at Slammer & Squire (World Golf Village)

The Boselli Foundation's focus is helping children become champions at home, at school, and on the playing field. Its major programs include the Christian Scholar-Athlete College Scholarships, Most Valuable Teacher Award, Shop with a Jock, and Destiny, a new mentoring initiative.

The Foundation strives to provide opportunities for all children, especially those with limited financial resources, to help them reach their fullest potential. The Foundation is committed to making sure that children have access to quality programs that help build character, promote Christian values, and enhance each child's opportunity to excel in school and athletic endeavors.
