JACKSONVILLE – Blake Bortles will start in prime time after all.
Bortles, the Jaguars' rookie quarterback, will start in the team's prime-time, nationally-televised game against the Tennessee Titans at EverBank Field Thursday night.
Bortles' status was uncertain throughout the week because of a mid-foot sprain in his right foot sustained against the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday.
Bortles worked out at EverBank Field for about a half hour from about 4:30-5 p.m. Thursday. He met with Head Coach Gus Bradley, General Manager David Caldwell and quarterbacks coach Frank Scelfo – as well as members of the team's training staff – shortly after the workout.
The team announced he would start shortly thereafter.
