Darius To Host Third Annual 'Sharpen Your Skills" Free Football Camp

Jaguars safety Donovin Darius will host his third annual "Sharpen Your Skills" Free Football Camp from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. This free day camp will be held at Raines High School and is for the first 150 Jacksonville-area high school football players who sent in their application.

"It's more than just football - I want to teach kids about life through football," said Darius, the Jaguars' fifth-year strong safety. "We'll have football drills, but we'll also teach the kids about life skills, such as conflict resolution and other more educational objectives."

The media is invited to the camp from 9:00 a.m until 3:30 p.m. About 25 to 30 of Darius' Jaguars teammates are scheduled to be on hand as coaches and instructors in the camp. The morning session will include individual position skills and one-on-one drills, as well as a special teams period, including long-snapping, kick returning and kicking. The afternoon session will again include individual position work and one-on-one drills, concluding with some competition drills and a final motivational talk by Darius. Camp attendees will receive breakfast and lunch and a take-home dinner, as well as a free camp duffel bag full of gifts and vouchers thanks to commitment from local businesses.
