JACKSONVILLE – A familiar face returned, and the Jaguars worked indoors.

Those two occurences defined Day 9 of Jaguars 2019 Training Camp, with veteran defensive end Yannick Ngakoue ending his holdout and the Jaguars practicing inside.

Ngakoue, who had missed the first eight days of camp because he and the team have yet to agree on a contract extension, practiced full Sunday and worked with the starters during team drills. The Jaguars practiced for about two hours inside the Dream Finders Homes Flex Field adjacent to TIAA Bank Field.

Speaking before practice Sunday morning, Head Coach Doug Marrone said three players – rookie tight end Josh Oliver (hamstring), rookie linebacker Quincy Williams (knee) and wide receiver Marcus Simms (wide receiver) – won't travel with the team to Baltimore this week because of their injury issues.

The Jaguars are scheduled to leave for Baltimore Sunday evening, with practices scheduled against the Ravens Monday and Tuesday. The teams will play in their 2019 preseason opener in Baltimore on Thursday.

Ngakoue spoke to the media Sunday after practice. Coverage of the media availabilities of Ngakoue and Marrone can be found on throughout the day Sunday.

Here's a look at Day 9 practice:

This came early in practice, with new starting quarterback Nick Foles throwing a sidearm pass to tight end Geoff Swaim in the back of the end zone for a six-yard touchdown. Foles was under pressure from defensive end Calais Campbell on the play. Foles, who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent from the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason, led the Jaguars' offense to one of its better passing days of camp on Sunday, and also completed impressive passes to wide receivers DJ Chark Jr. and Dede Westbrook.

*Westbrook continued to impress in camp, catching a 35-yard pass from Foles deep down the sideline midway through practice. …

*Chark also continued to flash, catching a 15-yard crossing pattern from Foles midway through practice. Clark dropped a pass on the sideline later in practice after beating cornerback Jalen Ramsey on the play. …

*Cornerback Tae Hayes intercepted quarterback Tanner Lee and also had an interception out of bounds off quarterback Gardner Minshew. …

*Wide receiver Keelan Cole caught a 15-yard pass from reserve quarterback Alex McGough. …

*Running back Devante Mays had a long run late in practice. ...

*Safety C.J. Reavis deflected a pass from McGough in the end zone. …

Wide receiver Marqise Lee and left tackle Cam Robinson remain on the Physically Unable to Perform list; Lee missed last season with a preseason knee injury that included a torn anterior cruciate ligament while Robinson missed the last 14 games of the season with a torn ACL. Linebacker Jake Ryan (knee) remains on the Reserve/Non-Football injury list. Marrone said he expects to update the return of Lee and Robinson later this week.

Rookie running back Ryquell Armstead was limited with a quadriceps injury, and rookie cornerback Saivion Smith was limited with an ankle injury. Cornerback A.J. Bouye and running back Thomas Rawls also remained on the side Sunday with hamstring soreness.
