Owens ready for musical debut

##### ROAR set to shoot 2009 calendar

The ROAR is scheduled to shoot their 2009 calendar on June 8-11 at Universal Orlando. The calendar will be available to the public in late August. All 32 members will participate in the calendar shoot.

Veterans get week off

##### What Moves U event

Running back Montell Owens and defensive lineman Mkristo Bruce spent Friday morning at Ribault Middle School for a What Moves U event. The players participated in relay races with sixth-grade students and spent time talking to the students about the importance of being active and eating healthy. Owens talked to the students about setting a goal to play at least 60 minutes a day.

"They're working hard right now. We'll see. There's no reason to get excited about anything in May except seeing the things that have to be to give you a chance. And that is energy, effort, commitment, complete buy-in; those are things we're focusing on right now. As a staff we're working our tails off to make sure we're putting our guys in the best possible position they can be in to make plays and we'll put it all together and we'll go this fall. But right now I like the way we're going about our work and for mid-May, not so bad."
