Jacksonville Jaguars fans are invited to TIAA Bank Field Sunday afternoon to see the Jaguars host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a rematch of last year's AFC Divisional round matchup. The team will wear the fan-favorite teal jerseys for the second time this season, and fans are encouraged to wear teal as well. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast locally on WJAX-47. Fewer than 1,000 tickets remain and are available by visiting www.jaguars.com or calling (904) 633-2000.
THE FIRST DUUUVAL
This week, the Jaguars will welcome back the team's all-time leading scorer to lead fans in the First DUUUVAL of the game. The microphone atop the southeast flagpole tower will be turned over to former Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee. Serving as the Jaguars placekicker for more than 10 years, Scobee holds multiple franchise records including field goals made (235) and longest field goal (59). The First DUUUVAL is presented by Duval Motor Company.
JAGUARS' SALUTE TO SERVICE
In recognition of the Jaguars' month-long Salute to Service celebration powered by CSX, the team will welcome a special halftime performance by the Para-Commandos, U.S. Special Operations Command's premier aerial parachute demonstration team. In a display of timing, accuracy, and precision maneuvering, the Para-Commandos will skydive from more than a mile over Jacksonville, racing towards TIAA Bank Field at 120 mph before opening their iconic black and gold canopies. The Para-Commandos are comprised of U.S. Special Operations Command personnel headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. Most are combat veteran special operators from the U.S. Army Special Forces or Rangers, the U.S. Air Force's Special Tactics Squadrons, U.S. Navy SEALs or U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations Raiders.
Following team introductions, the colors will be presented by a joint services color guard. The national anthem will be performed by the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence Band out of Fort Benning, Ga. Sign language interpretation will be provided by ROAR of the Jaguars member Kinsey. During the anthem, a 50-yard field flag will be displayed by first-year season ticket members. Following the anthem, two helicopters from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will perform the flyover.
During the game, the Jaguars will honor retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Bartholomew O'Leary as the Veteran of the Game presented by Dr. Patrick Basile. A Vietnam veteran, O'Leary served for 24 years in the U.S. Army and received three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star for Valor. The SunPass® Hometown Hero is Col. Linda Kramer, a 29-year veteran of the U.S. Army. She has recently returned home from deployment, having successfully commanded the medical theater in the Middle East, where she was responsible for 30,000 soldiers, 30 hospitals and all medical assets. The First Data Veteran-Owned Business of the Game is The Ozzark Man, represented by its owner retired Petty Officer Gary Gensch, U.S. Navy. Gensch served for 12 years, including two tours in Iraq, and his company now creates custom tumblers. As the game enters the fourth quarter, the Navy Mutual Bell Ringer will be Capt. Mark "Vice" Pierce, an F-16 fighter pilot in the 157th Fighter Squadron with the South Carolina Air National Guard. A Jacksonville native and a third generation Jacksonville Jaguar season ticket holder, Pierce has flown more than 100 combat hours and is an Air Medal recipient.
