Gameday: Jones-Drew, Shorts inactive


JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars will be without Maurice Jones-Drew and Cecil Shorts III Sunday.

Jones-Drew, the Jaguars' leading rusher, and Shorts – the team's leading receiver – were among seven players and four starters declared inactives 90 minutes before kickoff of the team's game against the Buffalo Bills at EverBank Field Sunday.

Shorts will miss the game with a groin injury and Jones-Drew will miss with a hamstring injury, with starting guard Will Rackley missing with a concussion and safety Johnathan Cyprien missing with a thigh injury.

Quarterback Ricky Stanzi, defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick and tight end Allen Reisner. Jordan Todman will start at running back in place of Jones-Drew, with Kerry Taylor starting at wide receiver for Shorts. Mike Brewster will start for Rackley, with Winston Guy starting for Josh Evans and Chris Prosinski for Cyprien at the safety positions.
