Great year of progress

Dear Jaguars fans,

Last season was a great year of progress for the Jaguars. While we are disappointed with our loss in New England in the playoffs, we can take great pride in our 12-4 season and in having returned to the postseason. We solved other important issues, as well. We sold out all of our home games in 2005, allowing all Jaguars fans to participate by being in the stadium on game day or watching the games on television.

We learned a lot about our football team this year and the areas we need to strengthen. Coach Del Rio and the football staff are already focused on identifying players who will help us advance farther next season. We look forward to an exciting and challenging home schedule in 2006 that will see the Patriots, Steelers, Giants, Cowboys and our AFC South rivals play at Alltel Stadium.

It is also of great comfort that in 2005 the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville were able to resolve our signage dispute. Your support during that time was critical and I thank you.

All of this causes us to look forward with the renewed excitement of having the opportunity to compete at the highest level, always keeping in mind our goal of bringing a championship to Jacksonville.

I want to personally thank our Jaguars fans for your support this past year. My commitment to you is that the best is yet to come.
