Matthew Wright is kicking for the Jaguars Sunday.

Wright, who kicked for the Jaguars in Weeks 4-5 this season, officially became the Jaguars kicker against the Miami Dolphins at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Sunday when the team deactivated Josh Lambo 90 minutes before kickoff.

Wright and Lambo competed for the role in practice this week. Jaguars Head Coach Urban Meyer on Friday said he had made the decision at that time but opted not to announce it publicly.

Wright missed an extra point and a 53-yard field goal in a loss to Tennessee last Sunday after winning a competition with Lambo in that week of practice; Wright made three of three extra points in a Week 4 loss to Cincinnati the previous week.

Lambo, who made 76 of 80 field goals for the Jaguars from 2017-2020, missed all three of his field goals in Weeks 1-3 and missed two of three extra points in Weeks 3. He missed practice the week leading to Cincinnati for personal reasons.

Also inactive for the Jaguars Sunday:

Linebacker Myles Jack (back), offensive lineman Rashaad Coward (ankle), wide receiver Tyron Johnson, cornerback Tyson Campbell (toe), defensive end/linebacker Jordan Smith and defensive lineman Taven Bryan.
