GARRARD THROWS TD PASS IN 4TH CONSECUTIVE GAME
QB David Garrard connected with rookie WR John Broussard for a 47-yard touchdown in the first quarter, the longest touchdown pass of Garrard's career and second-longest completion (49, 11/20/06 vs. N.Y. Giants). Garrard has thrown a touchdown pass in four consecutive games and six of the last seven games. He threw his first career pass in the month of September. It was Garrard's eighth career game with 200-plus passing yards and 30-plus passing attempts.
TAYLOR STARTS 10TH SEASON IN NFL; 30TH PLAYER IN NFL
RB Fred Taylor, who is starting his 10th season with the Jaguars, is just the second player to play in 10 seasons for the Jaguars (Jimmy Smith, 11, 1995-2005). Taylor is one of 30 NFL players in his 10th season or more with the same team and the only running back.
TE Marcedes Lewis recorded a career-high four receptions ... RB/KR Maurice Jones-Drew returned his first kickoff of the season 42 yards, the second-longest return of his career. He had a 93-yard return for a touchdown against Indianapolis on Dec. 10, 2006. ... DT Rob Meier played in his 108th career game with the Jaguars, moving him into a tie for fifth place in team history joining Mike Hollis and Brad Meester ... MATHIS RECORDS 21ST CAREER INTERCEPTION; SETS TEAM RECORD FOR CAREER INTERCEPTION RETURN YARDS
Rashean Mathis extended his team record to 21 career interceptions with a pick in the second quarter. In addition, Mathis returned the interception 23 yards and set a team record for career interception return yards at 290, surpassing Aaron Beasley (279, 1996-2001, 15 ints.). Mathis has four interceptions against Tennessee in the last four games and has six career interceptions against the Titans.
STROUD RECORDS 20TH CAREER SACK
DT Marcus Stroud recorded his 20th career sack, becoming only the sixth player in franchise history with 20 sacks. Stroud has 3.5 career sacks against Tennessee, the most against any NFL team. He has 2.5 sacks in the last three AFC South games.
