Jaguars activate Ebert and Palmer

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed first-year wide receiver Jeremy Ebert and rookie receiver Tobais Palmer off the club's practice squad to the 53-man roster, the club announced today.  Second-year guard Jacques McClendon and third-year quarterback Ricky Stanzi were waived.

Ebert was on the 53-man roster for the last two games and had a five-yard reception at Oakland in week two. He spent the preseason with the Jaguars where he had five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown.  Ebert was a seventh-round draft pick of New England in 2012 and spent time on the Patriots' practice squad.  He played in 49 games with 32 starts at Northwestern where he finished with 173 career receptions for 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Palmer joined the Jaguars as a rookie free agent in 2013 and has been on the club's practice squad for the first three weeks.  He played in 25 games at North Carolina State and finished his career with 91 receptions for 1,277 yards and 11 touchdowns.  Palmer started all 13 games as a senior and led the team with 54 catches for 781 yards and six touchdowns.

Ebert wears jersey number 80 and Palmer will wear jersey number 13.
