The Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff will conduct a Jaguars Coaching Clinic on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at ALLTEL Stadium. The free coaching clinic is open to all area football coaches, from youth leagues and high schools to colleges.
"A coach's dedication to the game is our inspiration to share the latest techniques, strategies and secrets of success," said Jaguars special teams coordinator Bill Bates, a 15-year veteran of the Dallas Cowboys who has hosted coaching clinics for many years. "The Jaguars coaching staff has more than 70 years of NFL coaching experience, and area coaches can benefit from this knowledge and expertise to build on their own strengths as coaches."
Bates and Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio will open the coaching clinic, and the team's 15 other assistant coaches will participate in the three-and-a-half-hour clinic. Close to 200 coaches are expected to attend.
Reservations can be made by contacting Jaguars assistant coach Paul McCord at 633-6553.
