The Jacksonville Jaguars today placed undrafted rookie RB Corey Grant (hip flexor tear) and first-year WR Tony Washington (severe hip flexor strain) on the team's reserve/injured list.

The Jaguars promoted rookie WR Neal Sterling to the active roster from the club's practice squad. The team now has one opening on the active 53-man roster.

The Jaguars released DT Ziggy Hoodfrom the team's reserve/injured list, after passing his physical, and also released QB Jeff Tuel from the practice squad.

The Jaguars signed undrafted rookie WR Rasheed Bailey and second-year S Craig Loston to the team's practice squad. The club has a full 10-man practice squad.

Sterling, 6-4, 235, was a seventh-round selection (220th) by Jacksonville in this year's draft. Sterling finished his career at NCAA Division-III Monmouth in the Top-3 in school history in receptions (212), receiving yards (2,615) and receiving touchdowns (22). Sterling, who is the school's all-time leader in receptions, was just the second Monmouth player to be drafted in the NFL.

Bailey, 6-1, 205, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by Philadelphia this offseason, but was released on Sept. 4, 2015. Bailey was a four-year letterman at Delaware Valley University (NCAA Division-III) and was the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-Conference selection and a D3Football.com first-team All-American during his senior season in 2014. He graduated as the school's all-time leader in receiving yards (3,138) and ranked second and third in receiving touchdowns (29) and receptions (165), respectively. Bailey, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., attended Roxborough High School.

Loston, 6-2, 209, was originally signed by the Jaguars as a rookie free agent in 2014 and appeared in 13 games for the Jaguars last season, seeing action mainly on special teams. After spending the offseason and preseason with Jacksonville, Loston was placed on the practice prior to being released on Oct. 14.

Grant, who signed with Jacksonville as undrafted rookie free agent this offseason, appeared in all six games to begin the season and served as the team's kick returner (eight returns for 220 yards; 27.5 KR avg.). Grant also rushed six times for two yards and caught two passes for 13 yards. Grant played collegiately at Auburn, where he rushed for 1,040 career yards and scored 11 career touchdowns.

Washington, who originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Indianapolis in 2014, spent the 2015 season on the Jaguars' practice squad. Washington began the season on the practice squad, but was promoted to the active roster prior to the team's Week 2 matchup with Miami. Washington appeared in the last four games for Jacksonville, his first four appearances in the NFL.
