Jaguars News | Jacksonville Jaguars -

As the Jaguars prepare to play the New York Giants on Saturday, the team completed its third consecutive day of two-a-day practices. QB Mark Brunell did not throw in today's morning session. "Every four days we like to rotate to give Lance Funderburk a few more snaps and give Mark some rest" said head coach Tom Coughlin.

The morning practice was spirited, especially in the goal-line situation towards the end of the morning. "It's good to have excitement and anxiousness out there," Coughlin said. "The drill was not supposed to be live, but the guys really got into it. Everybody has had a positive attitude, and the veterans are showing outstanding work ethic. Our concentration was good this morning, and we accomplished what we needed to."

"The third week is always tough for the rookies. Most of these guys are used to being in one-a-days by now. This is the first time some of them have had the competition and intensity, along with having someone watch every move they make. The mental part is tough also, getting new information each night. Some days it looks like a few of them have blown a fuse. Showing staying power is important."

The Jaguars will have a closed walk-through on Friday before departing for New York. The game can be seen at 8:00 p.m. on WTLV-12, with a 7:00 p.m. pre-game show, and it can also be heard on the Jaguars Radio Network (690 AM, 600 AM, and 96.9 FM in Jacksonville). Players will review film Sunday afternoon and will have Monday off. There will be no media availability on Sunday and Monday.
