The Jacksonville Jaguars today re-signed tight end Pete Mitchell to a new contract. Length and terms af the deal are not disclosed by the club.
In three seasons with the Jaguars, Mitchell, 26, has caught 128 passes for 1,482 yards and seven touchdowns. On the team's career receiving lists, Mitchell ranks third in catches and yards and fourth in touchdowns and average yards per catch. He is one of only six players who have played in all 52 games in franchise history, including postseason. He was obtained from the Miami Dolphins in a trade seven days before the 1995 season opener.
