Jaguars sign WR Jackson to practice squad

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed first-year wide receiver Marcus Jackson to the practice squad, the club announced.

Jackson, 6-1, 195, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie in 2012 by Atlanta, where he spent the entire season on the club's practice squad.  He spent the 2013 preseason with the Falcons before he was waived on final cuts.

Jackson played two seasons at Lamar where he had 65 catches for 1,159 yards and 14 touchdowns.  He began his career at Navarro College where he made 39 receptions for 493 yards in two seasons.  The Tyler, Texas native was a standout quarterback at Tyler Lee High School.

Jackson will wear jersey number 17.
