Jaguars Surpass 27,000 Fans as Camp Closes to the Public; Jaguars Make Two Roster Moves Today

The Jaguars welcomed fans to training camp for the last time today in completing an afternoon practice session in preparation for Saturday night's preseason opener against Atlanta. The afternoon session pushed the Jaguars over 27,000 fans in attendance for training camp this year. The Jaguars surpassed the 25,000 fan mark at training camp for the sixth consecutive season under head coach Jack Del Rio.

"This was the last day that we're going to have things opened for the public to be able to come out and watch us. We've been real pleased with the way the crowds have treated us this year. It's been a good environment for us to work in," said Del Rio. "We're looking forward to going against the Falcons on Saturday night. It ought to be a great environment to get our first look at this football team for 2008."

The Jaguars made two roster moves today as the team placed rookie defensive tackle Theo Horrocks on the waived/injured list and signed rookie free agent defensive tackle Tywain Myles. Horrocks, an undrafted rookie from Vanderbilt, suffered a foot injury in practice on Monday night.

Myles, 23, was a four-year letterman at Tarleton State. The 6-2, 305-pounder played in all 11 games as a senior and recorded 47 tackles, 10 for a loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles. The Nacogdoches, Texas native was named Lone Star Conference South Division Defensive Lineman of the Year as a junior and All-Conference first team as a junior and senior. He will wear jersey No. 60.

On Thursday, the Jaguars will have two practices at 11:00 a.m. (special teams) and 7:00 p.m. (shells) and on Friday the Jaguars will have a morning practice at 10:15 a.m. (hats). The Jaguars will host the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday for their preseason opener with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live in Jacksonville on WTEV CBS 47, and on the Jaguars Radio Network on WOKV AM & FM (690, 106.5).

Paul Burmeister will handle the play by play and Tony Boselli will serve as the color analyst for the telecast for the second consecutive season. For the sixth straight season together, Brian Sexton and Jeff Lageman will call the game on the Jaguars Radio Network. The Jaguars Pregame Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. on WOKV AM & FM (690, 106.5) and the Jaguars Radio Network. The Coggin Pregame Show, hosted by Brent Martineau, will air at 7:00 p.m. on WTEV CBS 47.
