Jaguars to recognize Olympic Gold Medalist Sanya Richards-Ross

The Jaguars will recognize four-time Olympic Gold Medalist Sanya Richards-Ross during Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Richards-Ross is the wife of Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross.

"I'm looking forward to finally coming to my new home in Jacksonville," Richards-Ross said. "The way Aaron and I have been embraced by the Jaguars organization and the community is unlike anything we have ever seen. I can't wait to thank all the fans for their amazing support during my journey in London. Sunday will be my first Jaguars game but not my last."

On behalf of Sea Best™ Seafood, Richards-Ross will be signing autographs for fans from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. in the Sea Best™ Cool Zone located in the south end zone directly beneath the Bud Light Party Zone on the ground level of EverBank Field. The new Sea Best™ COOL ZONES are open to all fans and feature air conditioned cooling benches, misting fans, cold refreshments and more – all designed to help fans beat the heat on hot game days.

Richards-Ross won two gold medals at the 2012 Olympics in the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay. She previously won gold medals at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in the 4x400 meter relay.

Ross joined the Jaguars in 2012 as an unrestricted free agent after five seasons with the New York Giants.  He was part of two Super Bowl championship teams (2007, 2011).  He was given permission by Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey to take a leave from training camp to watch his wife win the gold medal in the 400-meter dash in London.
