Jaguars waive Washington, Ziemann

The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived fullback Patrick Washington and offensive tackle Chris Ziemann.

Washington was the team's starting fullback the last two seasons after signing as an undrafted rookie in 2001. He played in 30 games as the lead blocker for Fred Taylor and Stacey Mack. In his career, Washington did not have any carries and caught six passes for 41 yards. He also made 19 tackles on special teams.

Ziemann spent all of last year on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL in the April minicamp. He played in eight games for the New York Giants in 2000 and was on the Giants' practice squad in 2001.

The Jaguars' roster stands at 85 players heading into this weekend's minicamp.
