London Calling Jaguars Fans from Orlando Area


JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars and WKMG, the CBS affiliate in Orlando and television home for selected Jaguars home games and all regular season road games, today announced the opportunity for fans from the Orlando area to win a trip to London to see the Jaguars play on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Wembley Stadium.

The promotion, which begins Monday and runs through Oct. 21, is sponsored by the David Maus Automotive Group in Orlando.

To enter, fans can visit or The winner and a guest will accompany WKMG Sports Director David Pingalore to London for the game, with the Jaguars picking up the tab for airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game vs. the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.

"We continue to make a significant commitment to growing the Jacksonville Jaguars' fan base outside of the Jacksonville area," said Jaguars president Mark Lamping. "Playing one home game in London in each of the next four seasons speaks to that commitment on an international basis. But closer to home here, on a regional basis, nowhere is our effort to raise the Jaguars' following and profile more evident or important than in Central Florida.

"Orlando, like a lot of cities in Florida, is a football town. We've always had a lot of Jaguars fans in Orlando and throughout Central Florida, and we've certainly seen interest in the Jags grow following our caravan visits and other outreach efforts to fans and sponsors over the past several years. With partners like WKMG and the David Maus Automotive Group, the opportunity is there to truly turn all of Central Florida into Jaguars Country."

The David Maus Automotive Group is further supporting the Jaguars this fall by providing two tickets to the Jaguars' home game on Sunday, Nov. 17, vs. the Arizona Cardinals to consumers who purchase a car from one of its four dealerships: Toyota Scion, Chevrolet, Volkswagen on Lee Road and Volkswagen South. The tickets to the game, which also serves as the Jaguars' annual salute to military game, include a complementary gift card for gas so the fans can drive their new David Maus Automotive Group car free of gas expense to and from Jacksonville.

"We have pro football just down the road," said David Maus, owner of Maus Automotive and Maus Media Group. "The goal of this promotion is not just to drive fans to the November 17th game, but to help increase the Jacksonville Jaguar fan base in the Orlando area."

WKMG will air the Jaguars' next game this Sunday, Sept. 22, when they face the host Seattle Seahawks at 4:25 p.m.
