(On how it felt to get back to live game action) "It's awesome to get back out there and it feels good. I kind of wanted to keep playing, but Coach [Marrone] took me out because the young guys needed to play in their first game. It felt good and I can't wait to get up to Minnesota and practice with those guys and keep it going."
(On if he thinks the game is easier versus having to practice in training camp) "It's definitely easier because we practice hard here. You bang on each other so much so now it's time to go against somebody else and I think we have a high standard so when you go into the game it is easier. It's fun just to have everything slow down and I think practice is great for us."
(On if he feels like the defense accomplished what they set out to during the game) "Well we play against whoever is out there and I think we played good. Besides, there were some things that we can talk about and a couple of things here and there, but I think we're all just rusty right now. I know my heart was pumping even though I've been doing it for a few years, but I just wanted to get back into the mood and calm down so it was good to go out there."
