JACKSONVILLE – A third Jaguars player has opted out of the 2020 season.
Rashaan Melvin, a cornerback who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent during the 2020 offseason, has voluntarily opted out of the '20 season. The team announced Melvin's decision Thursday afternoon.
Defensive tackle Al Woods and linebacker Lerentee McCray also have opted out for the Jaguars.
Players have until 4 p.m. Thursday to opt out of the 2020 season for COVID-19 reasons.
