The Jaguars Champions Club recently held its annual awards night at Whisky River in the Town Center, with more than 150 Champions and their guests attended the event. The evening featured appearances and autograph signings from Jaguars players and members of the ROAR.

Among the Jaguars in attendance were wide receiver Kassim Osgood and linebacker Kirk Morrison, who both presented the awards to the Champions, as well as guard Vince Manuwai, wide receiver Jarett Dillard and running back Maurice Jones-Drew. The players and cheerleaders mingled with the Champions and their guests, posed for photographs and signed autographs throughout the evening.

The Jaguars Champions Club recruits season ticket owners who volunteer their time and efforts in helping to ensure the long-term success of Jacksonville as an NFL community. This year the club's members sold more than 2,200 new season tickets in the community and made over 60,000 calls from the Jaguars press box to encourage thousands of fans to renew their season tickets for the 2010 season.

Top Champion for 2010 was Duval County Courts clerk Charlie Putnam (pictured with Osgood and Morrison) who was named Champion of Champions and won a trip to the Jaguars at Tennessee Titans game on December 5. Charlie volunteered 98 hours of service to the club and made 75 new season ticket sales in 2010 to earn the title.

Gold Champion Damon Mason won a trip to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas next year after being drawn from a group of high-achieving Champions Club members who had reached Gold and Platinum membership status by selling 16-30 season tickets and contributing over 30-50 hours of service.

Champions Club members have sold more than 6,000 new season tickets since the club's inception in 2005 and all Champions who had served with the club for all five years were honored with a special five-year service pin. Three Champions – Mike Morando, Charlie Putnam and Roger Young – were also honored for having achieved the top-level platinum status all five years, with each selling over 200 season tickets each during that time.

Other award recipients in various categories were: Top Team, Team Pot Roast, 146 season ticket sales; Most Service Hours, Joanie Lim, 114 hours; Rookie of the Year, Kim Schell/David Stelbrink, 39 season tickets each; Comeback Champion, Jeff Fingland, 45 season tickets; Champions' Vote, Charlie Hawkins, 32 season tickets.

The Jaguars will begin recruiting for the 2011 Champions Club in the coming weeks. Season ticket owners interested in joining the club should contact Scott Thompson at (904) 633-5297, or
