Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation To Host Ice Cream Party For Patients

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin will host an ice cream party and tour of ALLTEL Stadium from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday for Jay Fund kids from Nemours Children's Clinic and their parents.

Approximately 25 children who are afflicted with either leukemia or a childhood cancer, and their parents, will attend. Coughlin will host the stadium tour, which will include the team lockerroom, training room and weightroom. Afterward, the children will be treated to an ice cream and cake party in the team cafeteria. Several Jaguars players and team mascot Jaxson de Ville will make appearances. This is the fifth year that Coughlin has hosted children at the stadium.

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation was established to assist local children and their families who are directly effected by leukemia. The Foundation was established in memory of Jay McGillis, a former Boston College football player whom Coughlin had the privilege of coaching. Jay died in 1992. In seven years, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation has donated a total of $627,000 through its annual Celebrity Golf Classic to children and their families.
