Two Jaguars have switched positions, strengthening the offensive line following Monday's injury to Leon Searcy. Zach Wiegert, who started 12 games at right guard in 1999, has been moved to right tackle in place of Searcy. And Kevin Landolt, a fourth-round draft choice in 1999, has been switched from defensive tackle to guard.
"We can count on Zach to come through for us and do a good job in Leon's absence," said head coach Tom Coughlin. "And at right guard, whomever wins that spot will be the starter. It's unfortunate that the injury to Leon will force people at another position to come along faster than expected, but that's the game.
"You always have some kind of adversity, and our people need to rally around this," added Coughlin. "They have to stay positive and stay aggressive. And we may have to lean on our defense for a while. If they (an opponent) can't score, they can't win."
The Jaguars will have only one practice on Wednesday, at 8:40 a.m. at Ferrell Fields.
