Two in World Bowl

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Quinn Gray and S Abdual Howard will compete for the NFL Europe League championship in World Bowl XI on Saturday at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland when the Frankfurt Galaxy meet the Rhein Fire.

FOX will broadcast the game live at 12:00 p.m. with Curt Menefee and Brian Baldinger calling the action.

Gray, who played in all 10 games with Frankfurt, completed 58 of 131 passes for 1,099 yards and 11 touchdowns and added 24 rushes for 150 yards and a two-point conversion.

Howard started every game at safety for Rhein, the league's top passing defense, and was third in the league with 63 (44 solo) tackles. He also had two interceptions, one returned 93 yards for a touchdown, one sack and six passes defensed.

The other four Jaguars allocated to NFL Europe returned to Jacksonville.

  • Berlin running back David Allen started every game, rushing 102 times for a team-best 635 yards, ranking fourth in the league and had 22 receptions for 234 yards. He topped the league with 1,921 combined yards including a league-best 915 kickoff return yards.
  • F.C. Barcelona tight end Matt Cercone started every game and caught 11 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.
  • Amsterdam wide receiver Kerry Hood played in nine games, starting three and had eight receptions for 95 yards and one kickoff return for 59 yards.
  • F.C. Barcelona cornerback Jason Olford played in all 10 games, starting one. He was fifth on the team with 35 tackles and first with eight passes defensed.
