One of the most esteemed names in Tennessee sports history is now a member of the Jaguars wide receiver corps. However, this Richmond Flowers doesn't run as fast as his father did. This Richmond Flowers is a try-hard guy to whom Tom Coughlin was attracted, especially considering the fact that the Jaguars will be without Jimmy Smith in mini-camp, and because of growing concern as to whether or not R. Jay Soward will develop into the third wide receiver role for which he was drafted.
"Flowers is a pick as a receiver and return man," Coughlin said.
Again, this was a needs pick. If this draft did anything, it identified what Coughlin believes are his team's weaknesses.
