The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that offensive tackle Zach Wiegert is now listed as out because of a knee injury and will not play in tomorrow night's game at the New York Giants. Todd Fordham is listed as Wiegert's backup. He started the final eight games at right tackle in 2000, seven in which Fred Taylor rushed for more than 100 yards. The Giants upgraded G Jason Whittle (back) to probable. In addition, the Jaguars today signed veteran wide receiver Kevin Lockett and waived wide receiver Henry Douglas. Lockett was claimed on waivers from the Washington Redskins. Lockett, 28, had signed with Washington as a free agent in 2001 and was released by the team on Thursday. In seven games this year, he totaled 11 catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He will wear jersey No. 85. The 6-0, 188-pounder was a second-round selection of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1997 draft out of Kansas State. In his six years in the NFL, he has played in 76 games and has 120 career receptions for 1,586 yards and six touchdowns. Douglas had been activated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster last Saturday. He did not play in the Houston game.
